Mommy is going to Taiwan on Monday. She'll be gone for 2 months. Sad face
Something funny that just happened though (but it made my mom worry for me)
I made latte in our Vita-Mix for the both of us and made two cups. That was this morning. I just came downstairs from changing for work and asked my mom if she liked the latte. She said it was good, but why had I not drunk mine yet? I said I already did. The one on the counter was hers. She showed me an empty cup and said she drank one already. Turns out, the entire process of drinking my latte and washing and drying hadn't really happened XD I laughed really hard and I am drinking my latte now. It really does taste as good as it did in my mind :D

EXTRA fantastic day :3 And Things You Did Not Know About Grace :D
Oct. 14th, 2009 | 09:24 pm
I'm feeling:
happy
FYI: if you are reading this on facebook, it will probably get cut off because notes have character limit :3 you should read it on my lj
This morning consisted of french toast at Tai's house that kitti made :3 Pretty yum, but I'm taking her to Sunny Side Up to show her some REAL yummy french toast!
then I drove home and chillaxed with my mom until going to MoA
Did I mention that last night I had a dream about the MagiQuest at MoA? Yes, I am actually sort of nerdy... little known fact :D I like Dungeons and Dragons, LARP, Munchkins, etc. Then I read about it in the paper this morning. Of course, I had to go see it IRL then! How easy that I was going to Moa already...
My mom and I got there early to try and get some shopping done first. No luck trying to find wool tights :( Sad face
Then we met up with Kevin at B&N
We walked around, went up to the food court and got Taco Bell, and for my ONE Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito, I required a total of 10 packets of FIRE hotsauce XD NOMNOMNOM. Evan met up with us and got food. Then we went to Sanrio and I bought a key cover (photo on Poupee Girl!)for my key :3
Then Elaura showed up at some point while we were at Nordstrom Rack (no wool tights!) and then we went to meet Tom at Chipotle where he was chugging a Corona :D then we went shopping and some stuff. And ran into Jon!! At work! Looking sharp ;D being a warrior for the MagiQuest thing. I thought he looked rather like a shabby version of my marching band, but he is making his own costume cooler :D
( here there be magic )
Then we went and got something to drink because we were thirsty! AFter some more shopping and stuff, of course ;D we decided to sit in the lounge chairs in front of that Ruehl store (like Hollister, but with mirrors inside. It's the store that Kevin and I got separated in the first time we were doing a MoA excursion)
( There was not a Do Not Sit sign! )
Then we went on wacky adventures, met up with Pudding, and finally made it to the MagiQuest (after stopping for our free chocolate at Godiva, of course! I tried the creme brulee chocolate and Kevin had the hazelnut caramel one. They were both pretty good!) It looks kinda like StarGate in the entrance, and like Dungeons and Dragons in the back :DDDD You have no idea how geeked-out happy I was! The wands are a bit ugly, but customizable, so I think I would have to pretty mine up :D
We will definitely have to get Mormon Tony and Nikki to come to this. They would LOVE it. And Kippy. and maybe Movie Man. All them nerdy kids :3
Next week we're gonna go watch Where the Wild Things Are
Anyway, so apparently people are always surprised to find out that:
1) I like hard rock/metal music :D I listen to pretty much anything from country (a la Taylor Swift) to classic to rock to pop, but apparently it is surprising that I really like bands such as Disturbed XD For future reference, I love Evanescence and Three Days Grace, too :D Some of my top (english-speaking) bands!
2) I like roleplaying games. Mostly because I do not know any that are around me, so I do not play, but really I like them a lot!
3) I am (verbally) violent sometimes. Maybe I only recently started the death threats, but I have always had violent thoughts :x I think that hanging out with Sierra made me make more death threat jokes X3 Haha! Because she threatened my life all the time so of course now I do it too! Pudding was all surprised when I said to him "Imma cut you!" because he never picked up the honey for me from Ren Fest :( I am sad for that. Of course he still thought it was not really threatening the way I said it, but I thought I was being scary >:D
In OTHER NEWS, I paid $20 to Chocolate for my Detour ticket today. I am gonna have an Artist Alley table to sell clothes, so I hope to see some of you there!

The Most Depressed Sunflower There Ever Was Pt. 2
Aug. 23rd, 2009 | 12:41 pm
I'm feeling:
amused
Enduring its own self-loathing, the sunflower blamed everything around it for its condition. It blamed the glorious Ralph for his bright, sunny rays. It blamed gentle Sheila for her nourishing rainwater. It thought only of the negative things, hunched up with its head hanging, it could not see the bright future that it might have if it could only accept itself for what it is.
Late at night, in the lonely darkness, it surrounded itself with the shadows of the day and the shadows of its own thoughts. It ignored the bright lights shining by its side, focusing only on its own monstrosity - the freak that would never fit in with the rest of the garden. Far below, it thought, all the other vegetables and flowers must be laughing...
And so, alone in the dark, the sunflower wept its tears of self-pity
( photo for the story? )
Oh no! The sunflower is becoming only more depressed! Will it see the light? Will it realize that it should be proud of itself for being so big and strong? Find out in the next exciting episode of The Most Depressed Sunflower There Ever Was!!

The Most Depressed Sunflower There Ever Was
Aug. 17th, 2009 | 05:18 pm
I'm feeling:
happy
There once was a sunflower who grew to be very tall. However, the sunflower did not dare to face the sun. It felt that it was too tall and disproportionate. It hung its bright yellow face and looked down at all the other flowers surrounding it in the garden, wondering why it had turned out this way. There were no other sunflowers to be seen. The sunflower was as tall as a tree, and had only one flower at the very top of all its large, green leaves. And so it was sad
( What is a story without photos? )
Will the sunflower learn to love itself for what it is? Will it one day be brave enough to proudly face the sun? Find out in the next, exciting chapter of The Most Depressed Sunflower There Ever Was!

For Children, By a Child
Jun. 18th, 2009 | 01:26 pm
This is especially for those of you with kids. They're fairy tales I wrote when I was little. I think it was 2nd grade? something like that :)
they all have morals and stuff. no, really. I think. I'm not sure
NSFW (just because you might laugh. If your workplace is ok with random laughing, then it's ok for work)
also, I didn't bother correcting my grammar errors :)
( Princess Abigail and Jack )
( The Magical Horse )
Hope you all enjoyed my stories!

Happy Mother's Day!
I just had two breakfasts and a cake slice, and then my mom went outside to show kitti and me the strawberries, and I just went crazy and dragged kitti on a jogging spree with me @_@ we ran, non-stop, all the way to the park. our bellies were NOT feeling good. also, it was cold. then we swinged on the swings and our legs hurt and bellies wanted to puke and it was pretty awesome
I think my mom thinks I'm crazy

a credit card person just called and it sounded important so I picked up and the guy I think thought I was retarded XDDD I don't understand anything about credit cards or how they work... and the guy was saying something about interest rates and lowering them and I was confused and then he asked me if I was 18 or over and I said "yes" and he didn't believe me T^T he said "you are??" XDDDD haha
then he asked if I made all my credit card payments on time and how much I owe on my cards and stuff (what? what does that even mean?) and I said "I don't know - different people use all the cards" and he was confused by that I think... and then he asked if I was the owner of the house or the wife of the owner of the house and I asked him if he wanted to talk to my mom who just came home :D it was pretty fantastic
in other news, does anyone want to do the Dining Out for Life thing next Thursday (April 30th)? I can only do breakfast or lunch because I have CAD at 5:30 and it has to be on the bus line, but see my facebook status for a link to restaurants that are donating!

hilarious telemarketer!
Jun. 6th, 2007 | 09:45 pm
I am at: my room
I'm feeling:
amused by the telemarketer...
I'm listening to: silence
THIS JUST IN:
i went downstairs to clear out the sink for my mom to clean it, and a telemarketer called and there proceeded to be the conversation sorta like the following (it was mostly in chinese so i'm translating):
Telemarketer: Mrs. Chang? hello! i'm calling to ask if you watch TV and what type of TV you watch and if you'd like to install *insert chinese channels here*
Mom: no, we don't really watch TV at my house (normally, she'd hang up here)
Telemarketer: really? what do you watch? do you watch tapes? DVDs?
Mom: no, we really don't watch much TV here. i don't need cable
Telemarketer: oh, we're not a cable company! we're a *chinese channels thing*
Mom: well, i don't need it, thank you. we really don't watch much TV
Telemarketer: but how do you know what's going on in the world? how do you know what's happening? you don't watch TV? you're falling behind the times! everyone watches TV! you need to keep up to date with what's going on! what if the world is going to end? how would you know?
Mom: i can see on my computer
Telemarketer: but a computer is so small! you want your whole family to crowd around the computer?
Mom: i want my family to crowd around for family time conversation, not watching TV
Telemarketer: but you all need to know what's happening in the world! you can't get that on your small computer!
Mom: you're the one who's behind times! computers can have large screens now!
Telemarketer: but it's still all words. it's not as exciting as TV! there's colors and action!
Me: *whispers* there's video clips on the internet, you know
Mom: you can watch video on computer too
Telemarketer: but it's not as up to date! what's happening tomorrow? is the world going to end? how will you know? who will you call to find out what's going on?
Mom: *laughing* i REALLY don't need your cable, thank you!
Telemarketer: ah! you still think we're cable? i tell you already, we're not cable! we're *chinese channels thing* you still mix me up with the cable people! you take me for a cable person!
Mom: well, i don't need to upgrade my TV. it's fine. i have computers for knowing things. you shouldn't waste your time persuing (she meant persuading) me! there are other customers waiting for you!
Telemarketer: but you need to know what's happening!
and it went on like that for a while with me and my mom trying really hard not to laugh too loud, but the telemarketer sounded like she was laughing too...
it was the only good telemarketer conversation ever
seriously, the world ending? so what if we knew about it? there'd be nothing we could do anyway

Happy Poo
Mar. 27th, 2007 | 08:46 pm
I am at: my room
I'm feeling:
inventing of Happy Poo
I'm listening to: silence....
what is it with anime fans and random cutesy things?
i don't know, but i know i am one of the raving fans who will cuddle with blobby plushies named Makona or cuddle with bloody teddy bears named Gloomy Bear
i like the weird sushi plushies people make
there was a booth selling white oval felt things with faces painted on
i loved them and cuddled them every time i went past
i affectionately called them "Rice Babies"
and the owners of the booth actually decided they rice babies needed a label and made a sign proclaiming "Rice Buddies"
and the point is,
i'm trying to make a Happy Poo
that's right, a crocheted blob of brown matter resembling a joyful pile of feces
i found a pattern somewhere, but i'm modifying it to try and make it more poo-like
how silly
this is probably a rather silly entry
maybe i'll post photos soon
