Why I Cannot Bring Myself to Hate Akito
he's just too cute! even if he is peeing on the newspaper and stinking up my whole room and he runs away and ignores me a lot

He guards my room:
Bunny Flop

He was actually letting me pet him yesterday and was all sprawled out in a bunny puddle/rabbit rug, but when I tried taking a photo of it he got up
Getting Up

Cleaning cleaned himself for the photoshoot

Sitting sat around

Bunloaf became the most adorable bunloaf
Bunloaf 2
Bunloaf 3
Bunloaf Up has a face

Big Bunloaf looks majestic when the photo is taken from floor level
Big Bunloaf 2is a gigantic bunny from this angle
Big Bunloaf 3 and is just very cute!

I really think the issue is a boy bunny thing though. Julian used to act like a little pill too, but as he matured he got friendlier. And he'll be even friendlier when he gets fixed.

A good way to bond with your bunny is to let him run around while you sit on the floor and let him come to you. It might take a while though, so set aside a day for this. Also, hand feeding him treats is good too.

yea he is only just recently started to get friendlier :3 I think he is about 9 months old now? I sit and read on the floor and let Akito run around now :3 I think that has been helpful! and I've started to feed him little bits of fruit and stuff. boy does he love his bananas! but I only give him a little bit because I think they're very sugary...

Yea, Julian didn't start REALLY liking us until about then, so it should start looking up! Yes, fruit is very sugary and too much can make them super hyper and give diarrhea. Hiro loves her bananas though. Julian is impartial.

Is your bun fixed? Haku is the sweetest bunny and he got his balls chopped 2 days before I got him. I heard unfixed rabbits can be a pain.

nope :D I'm not sure if I actually want to get him fixed, though I've heard they're nicer if you do XD

I think he's been peeing outside his litter box because the litter I used changed to big pellets... maybe they hurt his feet :/

The average lifespan of an unfixed rabbit is shorter than a fixed rabbit, because many rabbits die from cancer in their reproductive organs, that's why I opted for a fixed bunny.

Sometimes they'll pee outside the box when they're displeased with the box. Do you keep hay in the litter box?

:( I wanted to keep him natural, but I'd be sad if he got cancer!!

I used to not keep hay in his box, but once I did put some hay in and I think he may have liked it better... I cleaned his whole house again today and put a layer of hay on top of the big litter pellets so hopefully it's more cushion-y :3 when I get back to my mom's house (I'm at my dad's right now) I'll see if he peed into his litter box instead of outside :D

Haku likes to eat hay while he pees. He used to refuse to use his litter box if there wasn't hay in it, he'd pee by his food dish. My vet had me at first use food pellets instead of litter, and then gradually work in the newspaper pellets, then 50% food/50% litter, then all litter. Always with lots of timmy hay on top.

I know, it is really horrible. I wear a bandanna over my face when I change the litter box. Actually my dad has me throw it into the compost because it makes for good natural fertilizer and the ammonia in the pee is a natural pesticide. It grosses me out to think I eat tomatoes grown in it though.
